 A good Pking system

This is my opinion on a good pking system.

First off a official score board / ranking system that can be updated in game almost like the max skill board in old DS. I don't know how that would be coded but if it could be made it would be awesome imo.

Second pking rewards. There should be sometime of point / auto reward system for get kills on other players. Now to prevent abuse of this system players should only get points for killing the same player twice after that it would take 1 hr for them to be rewarded points for killing that person. Now with rewards there should be some custom capes maybe that are only able to be bought if you've achieved enough kills. For example a cape with a sword or any other object that seemed suitable could be bought after 10 kills not taking away points but just as a "dress up" item to where around ::home to show what you've achieved. Along with that scaling Greater rewards scaling from dbows to chaotic weapons and other weapons widely used in pvp.

Third in addition to to the ranking system a " Top Pker " system nearly exactly like the old one in DS where there would be a top 10 in which you could challenge other top players to do a 1v1 of some sorts every 24hrs with SS proof of win or loss ofc.

That's just my opinion on what would make a good pvp system and keep people dedicated to working towards something instead of finding another server.

I'm not sure myself how easy that would be to implement but i will probably look into it AFTER the server is launched and the more important shit is sorted out.

No, there shouldn't...In case you didn't read, this will not be a pking server, it will be an ECONOMY server so there's no point in focusing so much on pking. There will be some updates to improve pking from time to time but not as large as what you suggested.

::home i lol'd. "from dbows to chaotic weapons and other weapons widely used in pvp" whoah whoah slow down....what makes you think we WILL have the chaotic weapons added? And even if we will, like i said above, there wont be any rewards for pking except whatever you get from your defeated oponent.

Easily implementable. Can just be a small list of pkers and if someone wants to be first, he would have to go through everyone on the list and defeat them. And ofc one admin would have to sit there and supervise the match to make sure no one is cheating and to be sure of who won the fight.

If people like to play economy servers then they will stick around. If they like to play pking servers, i'm not going to bend the entire server to their will and turn it into a pking server. Whoever doesn't like it can go fuck themselves tbh. They should think of the effort the staff is putting in for THEM. It's a free game and some people are spending their free time to manage it without getting any reward.

Oh that's fine you're right I didn't know it was an economy server. I don't expect everything to happen it's just a suggestion and "It's a free game and some people are spending their free time to manage it without getting any reward." isn't knowing that you're pleasing so much people worth it =p

I don't know about rewards, as Alex pointed out we're aiming mainly at economy (I too love pking like you though) but I would LOVE a "Kill-Death Ratio" system which records all your kills and your deaths and gives you a KDR. Perhaps this would be an easier way to see who the best pkers are? An automated way.

We tried that with DS, although the idea itself is great, in practice it doesn't work so well. We always had arguments/disputes over positions on the leader board. Perhaps if someone has enough time they'll commit to overseeing it, personally I'd find it far too time consuming.

Some good ideas though, or certainly starting ideas to expand on.
